Las Vegas Police Union Defies NFL Access Policy
Las Vegas Police Union Objects to NFL Access Policies
Officers Urged to Not Work
LAS VEGAS (AP) — The head of the Las Vegas police union said Friday that officers will not abide by the NFL's new access policy for certain areas of Allegiant Stadium.
Metro Police and union officials said they object to NFL access policies to certain areas of Allegiant Stadium and the union has urged its officers to not work.
The NFL's new policy restricts access to certain areas of Allegiant Stadium, including the field, locker rooms, and press box, to only those with a valid NFL credential.
The union said the policy is too restrictive and would prevent officers from doing their jobs effectively.
The NFL said the policy is necessary to ensure the safety and security of players, fans, and staff.
